HOW TO INSTALL PLANET FITNESS VIRTUAL PLAYER

  • Download the installation file from our website or click on the link in the installation mail received during your subscription.

  • Follow the steps and click OK for every window.

  • Install PLANET FITNESS VIRTUAL PLAYER.
  • THE MESSAGE "MSVCR100 is not present ..." APPEARS

  • Please download the Visual C ++ file available in the installation email.

  • If you do not have the mail, click on this link to download it.
  • AN UPDATE WINDOWS REMAINS DISPLAYED

  • An "Update" window remains displayed, you cannot launch the player.

  • Press the "Windows" key (between Crtrl and Alt at the bottom left of the keyboard). The taskbar is displayed at the bottom.

  • Right click on the icon "MG update"> close the window "update".

  • Restart the Player > the update will be automatically relaunched.

  • If a pop-up "Do you want to allow this program"appears, click "Yes".
  • HOW TO DOWNLOAD CLASSES

  • The classes are automatically downloaded. Once the player is downloaded (link in the installation email) you just need to enter your username and your password.

  • Choose the location where you want to stock the classes.

  • The message "Download in progress" is displayed at the top left of the player. When it disappears, the classes are downloaded.

  • The download duration depends on the number of classes and the speed of your internet broadband. (we recommend to connect the computer to an RJ45 ethernet cable for download).

  • You can, however, build your schedule even if the classes are not downloaded.
  • HOW TO GET THE NEW CLASSES

  • About every 3 months the new editions of each category will be downloaded automatically to your player.
    See "How to download classes" to configure automatic download.

  • All new classes orders are made directly to the supplier (LESMILLS).

  • To know the availability of new class editions, we invite you to contact your supplier.
  • CLASSES SAG OR FREEZE

  • Ensure that your computer meets the minimum requirements: Windows 7 or higher, Intel i3 or higher than 3 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 500 GB minimum, resolution of 1280 x 720 and above, and high speed internet broadband.

  • If the problem persists, open the computer's Task Manager (Ctrl + Alt + Supp). Observe the resources used during the class lecture. Check all background tasks.
    If the problem persists contact our hotline at support@mg-instore.com.
  • PLANNED CLASSES DO NOT WORK

  • Esnure that your computer meets the minimum requirements: Windows 7 or higher, Intel i3 or higher than 3 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 500 GB minimum, resolution of 1280 x 720 and above, and high speed internet broadband.

  • Check if you have only one "Windows" session. The name of the session must be "administrator" and not contain any accent, space or special characters.

  • Check if an exception is created for the player through your antivirus.
  • I DO NOT KNOW THE SETTINGS ACCESS CODE

  • Click on the settings (Top left button of the interface, man with padlock).

  • Type **[day x month]##
    Example: todayt is the 20th of December: 20 x12 = 240 you have to type **240##

  • Pop-up appears. Click "OK" twice. Your code is reset.

  • Set a new code.
  • HOW TO CHOOSE AND LAUNCH A CLASS?

  • If your computer or tablet is self-service, make sure you are in touch mode in the settings (Top left button of the interface, man with padlock).

  • On the main interface, click on the "Planet Fitness" thumbnail, choose a category, an edition, duration and click on "Play" to launch a class.
  • CREATE A PLANNING

  • Access the settings window (Top left button of the interface, man with padlock) > Scheduling Management > Click on "+" signe below a Day > Choose a class.
    In the drop-down list, 4 possible modes : Selection (class of your choice from the existing list), Last classes (last class downloaded) / Random (a class of the list will be randomly launched) / Random same time (a class of the list will be randomly launched but you define the duration).

  • By checking the Priority box, you give priority to planning, even if a class has been started in Instant play. You will be able to stop the scheduled class after 5 minutes.
    If you check Mandatory, the scheduled class cannot be stopped.
  • BROADCASTING VIDEOS BETWEEN CLASSES

  • In the Settings (Top left button of the interface, man with padlock) > Check Enable video between classes.
    Choose a theme from the drop-down list.

  • When the video is launched, if you only have one screen to broadcast, touch the screen, a pause button appears to exit the video at the bottom right.
  • BROADCAST BACKGROUND VIDEOS FOR LIVE CLASS WITH A COACH

  • In Settings (Top left button of the interface, man with padlock) > Backgrounds management > Click on a thumbnail to launch a background.
    You also have the possibility to add it in the planning (see "CREATE A PLANNING")
  • AUTOMATIC START OF PLANET PLAYER AT THE START OF THE COMPUTER

  • Click on the settings (Button at the top left of the interface, man with padlock).

  • Check the "Start on system startup" box.

  • The player will be automatically launched every time the computer starts.
  • ACCESSING THE INTERFACE DURING CLASS READING

  • If you have 2 screens, you can display the player’s interface on one side and classes on the other one.

  • To do this, change the computer display to "extended screen".
    (on your desktop > Click on "Display Settings" > at the bottom of the window in "Multiple Views" choose "Expand These Views").

  • Identify your touch screen and make it to your main screen.

  • If the screens are inverted, in the player settings > Video Display > select the other screen. ex: if screen 1 appears, select screen 2.
  • I NEED TO CHANGE MY PC

  • Download the installation file on our website or click the link of the installation email received during your subscription.

  • Install the Planet Fitness Virtual Player, enter your username and password.

  • Planet Fitness Virtual Player can only be installed on one computer, so it will ask you if you want to activate the software on this computer. Click OK.

  • The Planet Fitness Virtual Player is now active and automatically downloads classes.
  • PAUSE OR STOP THE CLASS

  • If you have only one screen: during the class, click at the bottom on the screen. A Pause button appears at the bottom right.

  • Click to pause the class and return to the Player interface.

  • If you have two screens: during the class, the Pause button is accessible to the right of the interface.
  • CAN WE NAVIGATE THROUGH THE VIDEO?

  • The video format is encrypted so the navigation through the videos is not possible. You cannot forward or rewind the video.
    However, you can pause or stop the video.
  • I CANNOT LAUNCH A CLASS

  • Be sure to be on an administrator session and check your Windows username. It must not contain special characters or spaces.
    If so, create a new user session.

  • Make sure you have no antivirus, no windows account control, no active windows defender.

  • Check if the classes are well downloaded. In documents > mediatv. Also check if the player get the classes at the right place.
    (settings > Location of the directory of videos).
  • MY ANTIVIRUS IS BLOCKING THE PLAYER

  • Go to the antivirus settings, search for the "Exception" section.
    Create an exception for the Virtual Player. The antivirus will no longer block the program.
  • MAC VERSION

  • Planet Fitness Virtual Player is only supported by Windows.
  • MOBILE VERSION

  • Planet Fitness Virtual Player is not supported on mobile device.
  • MY INTERNET CONNECTION IS DOWN

  • For security reasons, the Planet Fitness Virtual Player must be reconnected to our server every 3 days.

  • If your internet connection is down for more than 3 days, connect your phone to "connection sharing" in order to reactivate the player for 3 days.
  • HOW TO CLOSE THE PLAYER?

  • First method :
      Click on the settings (Button at the top left of the interface, man with padlock).
      Click on the icon with the 4 inward arrows at the top right of the settings window.
      You can now close the player with the red cross at the top right of the screen.

  • Second method :
      Click on the settings (Button at the top left of the interface, man with padlock).
      enter the code #000.
  • MY HARDRIVE IS FULL

  • As a reminder, the minimum requirements for the player are 500 GB.

  • Courses can be stored on an external hard drive (see procedure below).

  • CHANGE COURSE STORAGE LOCATION
  • Check the capacity of your hard drives. Make sure that the courses are saved on the disk with the largest capacity.

  • If this is not the case, access the player settings (button at the top left character + padlock).

  • Type your parameter code (if you forget this code, please see the section "I don’t know the code to access the settings").

  • In the settings window, click "Video Directory Location" and set the new storage location.

  • Just click D: to store on your D disk.

  • Start the player again. The player restarts the download of courses to the new location.

  • RECOVERY OF THE COURSES ALREADY DOWNLOADED
  • Open the 'Documents" folder on your computer. Then open the "mediatv" folder.

  • Cut paste all the content into the new "mediatv" file that appears on your new hard drive.

  • Restart the player.
